A few lines to Sam & Mary
Dear brother and sister I take my pen in hand to inform you that I am well at 
this time hoping this finds well and dooing well. I havent nothing strange to 
write at this time . I haven't heard from home and Dady was sick wtth the 
fever I want to heare from home range vad just as often as I kinfrom home that 
often I will write to you ifit ain't to long between times  So I will close 
for this time   I remain your brother untill death
