Battley to Miss Mary Hunsucker, which took place at 8 o'clock. The church had been in the hands of friends of the parties for a week past, and it was evident, at a casual glance, that they had spared no pains to make the decorations as beautiful as possible. There were three evergreen boughs across the church from either side of the gallery, looped in the center, and suspended fromthe ceiling. Under the center bough stood an evergreen arch tastefully dressed with flowers. Suspended from the center of the arch was a beautiful wedding bell of white flowers. At every conceivale spot that could be decorated was a profusion of evergreens and flowers. Indeed, the interior of the church was as handsome as could be. The bridal party arrived at the door at 8 o'clock. Immediately thereafter, to the time of a delightful march rendered by Mrs. J.G. Downing, the attendants entered the church at opposite doors, in the following order: W.H. Branson and Miss Nannie Muse; J.M. Fagan and Miss Eva Watson; W.H. Battley and Miss Minnie Holleman; D.B. Shields and Miss Lula Black; A.C. Kelly and iss May Stuart; W.T. Hunsucker and Miss Ada Caddell. Following them, came the bride and groom up the right aisle. They took their position under the arch, which was half-circled by the attendants. The ushers, Messrs Robt L McNeill and Angus Deaton, brought up the rear, and stood on either side of the arch. The music stopped, and the Rev. W.F. Watson arose, andin all solemnity, performed the marriage ceremony. After which the party left the church in reverse order, and returned to the residence of Mr. H.J. Muse, where a reception was held. This writer was present with a limited number of ohter friends, and can testify that the wedding feast was most bountiful and elegantly prepared. The couple received many handsome and useful presents. We must not close without saying that the groom, in the regulation black, looked his handsomest; while the bride in a beautiful dress of white, looked entrancingly lovely. And now, wishing for them, our good friends, every happiness which married life affords, we leave them in their unalloyed bliss.
