The Morning Star, Wilmington, NC – Th 9/13/1888
Maxton Union:
Tommie Clark, of Carthage, son
of I. N. Clark, died at Jacksonville,
Fla., a few days ago of yellow fever. 
He was travelling salesman of Atlanta
Drug Co., and came to Jacksonville
from the West India Islands and was
stricken with yellow fever.  His life
was insured for the benefit of his fa-
ther to the amount of $2,000.
