Nunnery, one of our oldest citizens, died
at his home near here last Thursday
evening, aged 71 years.  He had been in
bad health for a long time, and some
months ago gained admission to the
State Soldiers’ Home at Raleigh, where
he remained until a few weeks since.  He
was one of the bravest Confederate sol-
diers who ever shouldered a musket.
