Moore County, NC Wills Book B:64 (6 Nov 1828/Feb Term 1829)
 
I, JOHN SINCLAIR, SENR. of Moore County do make, publish and declare the
following to be my last will and testament.  I will and devise to my son
ARCHIBALD SINCLAIR one hundred and thirty-four acres of land, being more or
less the old tract whereon I now live with the tenements and appurtenances
thereunto belonging to him and his heirs--also fifty acres more on the west
side of the Pocket Creek adjoining the above-mentioned tract.  Also about ten
acres on the Mill Ridge adjoining my daughter CHRISTIAN's land, to him and his
heirs.  I also give and bequeath to my said son Archibald all my working and
plantation tools.  I will and devise to my son JOHN and his heirs all that
tract of land which begins on north corner of Christian's land and then down
to the said line of the old tract above mentioned, but the Deep Branch is to
be the dividing line between my said sons JOHN and ARCHIBALD.  In addition to
the fifty acres now owned by my daughter CHRISTIAN, I will and devise to her
and her heirs all that piece or parcel of land beginning at her west corner on
the Mill Ridge and down to the Rocky Branch.  I will and devise to my daughter
NANCY MCIVER and her heirs all that piece of land which is on the other side
of the Rocky Branch and adjoins McIntoshes lines and ?-ing a small distance
over the wagon road.  I give my granddaughter JANE WATSON one dollar.  I give
my son DUNCAN one dollar.  I give and bequeath what household furniture I own
to my son ARCHIBALD SINCLAIR, and I also appoint him the sole executor of
this, my last will and testament.  Witness my hand and seal this 6th day of
November AD 1828.
