Willis WHITFIELD of Rutherford Co., TN, 23 August 1832, aged 71, stated he 
was born in Nash Co., NC where he was drafted into service as a substitute 
for Amos THOMPSON. 10 Jan 1840, Rutherford Co., TN Court - Rhody WHITFIELD, 
aged 72 is widow of Willis WHITFIELD, she married Willis WHITFIELD the 1st 
day of November, 1788 in Nash Co., NC & he died 3 September 1836 in TN.
