Morgan Thomas died 1709 and named James Morgan in his Will in Perquimans NC. Clue as to his origins is this: Here his cousin says he is from Glamorganshire, Wales. 1659. 7 September. MORGAN THOMAS of Glamorganshire, yeoman, bound to PETER JONES, mariner, to serve 3 years in Barbados. She died and left a will naming son James Morgan. and left his a slave Peg to be sold but John, his son also has a slave Peg named in his will, so maybe the same if James decided not to sell Peg. James Morgan Sr. will of Nash North Carolina left land to his son James Jr and this land is on deep Bottom next to Wm Bogue who received land Grant 1696 on Deep Bottom. This land is located next to William Morgan on Vosses Creek in Perquimans. This land belonged to his father James Morgan inhertited from his father, who recevied 300a in Grant 1694. James Morgan Jr. James Morgan Sr., left land to his son James Morgan Jr.land on Deep Botton. this James Morgan Jr would have been the father and the perfect DNA Match father of Seth Morgan born 1801, of Hertford NC. Seth descendant Henry Morgan who married Susan Haste in Chowan, NC.. Henry's and Susan Haste son Henry Lewis Morgan stayed in Perquimans, lived and died and is buried on Rockyhoch Creek 7 miles North of .Edenton East of the Chowan River. Also Gabriel Colsan was a wit: to a Deed made out to William Morgan from John Stone on Rockyhock. So we can see some of our family moved from Perquimans River on to Chowan River. and later on to Nash.. James Morgan of Nash Will shows his land next to Bog on Deep Bottom in Perquimen Patent Book one, Page 6 page 17 William Bogue1 May 1694 200 A on the Perquimens River Joining pocoson of the said River.
