Location: Between Sandy Cross and Langley Store east of Sappony Creek, latitude 35 degrees, 54' 18.0" and longitude 77 degrees 55' 27.7". It is just off of N.C. State Road 1717 [Westmont Drive] off of the dirt service road just west of and adjacent to Interstate 95. In summary, the Proctor Cemetery is located off of Westmont Drive, NC Road 1717 on the north side of the road, just west of Interstate 95, first dirt road (a service road) to the right [west], it runs parallel to I-95. The graves in a clearing on the west side of dirt service road. The closest family dwelling to the graveyard is Box 313, Route 3, Nashville, NC [1973]. Aug. 1835. d. 1907, wife of Hansel Harrison Proctor, Jr. Isaac Hansel Proctor [b. 11 Oct. 1865. d. 11 Feb. 1937] Lou Bottoms Proctor [b. 1861 d. bet. 1911 & 1914], second wife of Isaac Hansel Proctor. William D. Proctor [b. 26 Nov. 1887. d. 5 Feb. 1925], son of Isaac and Lou Bottoms Proctor Munroe Proctor [b. 28 Aug. 1919 d. 15 Oct. 1925], son of Isaac and his third wife Milbrey Langley Proctor Eula Jane Proctor [b. after 1926. d. bef. 1931], daughter of Isaac and Milbrey Langley Proctor ADDITIONAL FAMILY INFORMATION PROVIDED BY EARL BELL William D. Proctor was the oldest son of Isaac and his first wife: Lou Bottoms Proctor. Munroe Proctor was third son of Isaac Proctor and his second wife: Milbrey Langley. Eula Jane Proctor died in the first five years of her life. Hansel Harrison [Harry] Proctor, Jr. married Sarah Jane Vaughn in Edgecombe County, NC on September 2, 1862. The Vaughn family lived near Sandy Cross and Harry Proctor farm was located east of Sandy Cross and on the west side of I-95 off on N.C. State Road 1717 [Westmont Avenue]. They had three sons: Isaac Hansel Proctor [b. 11 Oct. 1865. d. 11 Feb. 1937]; Henry Proctor and John Sidney [Sid] Proctor Hansel Harrison [Harry] Proctor, Jr. was in the 2nd North Carolina Calvary during the Civil War.
