NORTH CAROLINA, Nash County
Petition for Dower: SALLY DOZIER VS. JOHN DOZIER, LEONARD DOZIER, REBECCA 
WESTRAY, G. W. WARD and wife, POLLY, WILLIAM COLSON and wife, NANCY, C. H. 
GLOVER and wife, ELIZABETH. 
It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that LEONARD DOZIER, one of the 
defendants in this cause, resides beyond the limit of the State, it is, 
therefore, on motion, ordered by the Court that said advertisement be made for 
six weeks, in the Raleigh Standardm, notifying the said defendant of the 
filing of this petition and that he appear at the next term of this Court to 
be held for the County of Nash, at the Courthouse in the town of Nashville on 
the 2nd Monday in February 1864 and answer the petition, or the same will be 
taken pro confesso, and heard ex parte as to him. 
Witness B.H. SORSBY, Clerk of our said Court at office in Nashville, 2nd 
Monday in November A. D. 1863.
