JOYNER NASH COUNTY DEED BOOK 18, Page 204-205 Dated: 5 February 1845 This indenture made this 5th day of Feby in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and forty five between WILLIAM A. JOYNER of the county of EDGECOMBE and State of North Carolina of the one part and KINCHEN EDWARDS of the county and state aforesaid of the other part - witnesseth that the said WILLIAM A. JOYNER for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred and fifty dollars paid to the said WILLIAM A. JOYNER at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents hath given, granted bargained and sold unto the said KINCHEN EDWARDS, his heirs and assigns forever one certain tract of land lying in the county of Nash and on the SOUTH SIDE OF TAR RIVER containing ONE HUNDRED THIRTY and 1/3 acres be the same more or less and bounds as follows...beginning at the mouth of DORMON's BRANCH thence up said branch by a line of marked trees 210 pole to a stake in the field, thence nearly a north east course to EDWARDS corner, thence Edwards other corner, thence along said Edwards line to a holly on the river, thence up the various courses of the river to the first station. also one other tract lying in the aforesaid county of Nash and containing SIXTY acres be the same more or less and bounded as follows, beginning a pine near the COKEY ROAD, thence down said road to Edwards corner pine. Thence along Edwards line nearly a north course to a black jack corner thence along JONATHAN JOYNER's line to a corner pine the beginging to have and to hold the aforesaid mentioned tract or tracts of lands to him, the said KINCHEN EDWARDS, his heirs and assigns forever with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging to both the aforesaid tracts of land or in any ...appertaining with all the revisions or .....rents & services to him the said KINCHEN EDWARDS, his heirs and assigns forever to the only proper use and behalf of him the said KINCHEN EDWARDS, his heirs and assigns forever & the said WILLIAM A.
