This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Helen Sharpe Turn1104@aol.com ==================================================================== DEED BETWEEN KINCHEN EDWARDS AND MOSES JOINER NASH COUNTY DEED BOOK 11, Page 340 14 February 1826 This indenture made this the fourtneeth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Twenty Six between MOSES JOINER of the Coutny of Nash and State of North Carolina of the one part and KINCHEN EDWARDS of the County of Edgecombe and State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars to the said Moses Joiner in hand paid by the said Kinchen Edwards at or before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt is hereby acknowledged that I the said Moses Joiner hath granted bargained and sold unto the said Kinchen Edwards a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County aforesaid on the North Side of Tar River and bounded as follows to wit: Begining at the fall Branch at a gum in the said Branch thence North Thirty seven degrees, East one hundred and twenty poles to a black oak. Thence South seventy degrees East seventy eight poles to a pine JOHN BARNESES corner. Thence South sixty degrees East one hundred and ten pole along his line to a gum on the River Bank. Thence up the various courses of said river to the said Branch and thence up the said Branch to the first station . One hundred and twenty seven acres more of less which said tract of land will and may appear together all and singular the profits the tenements, and appurtenants there to and therewith belonging array well appertaining and the Estate Right Title and in trust which the said Moses Joiner now have or ever had of and ... ? The said bargained premises and the said Moses Joiner for himself and his quit claim in and doth warrent and defend said land and premises from the lawful claims of all persons claiming by force and or under ...unto him the said Kinchen Edwards, his heirs and assigns forever in witness where of I the said Moses Joiner hath hereunto set hand and seal, signed, sealed, and delivered in the presents of us.
