Nash County, NC - Deeds - David & Sarah Scott to Richard L. Green, 1873 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This indenture made this the thirtieth day of December A. D. 1873 between David A. Scott and his wife Sarah Ann Scott of Wilson and State of North Carolina of the one part and Richard L. Green of the County of Nash and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of eight hundred dollars to them the said David A. Scott and wife Sarah Ann in hand paid by the said Richard L. Green the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath this day given, granted, bargained and sold in fee simple forever, to Richard L. Greene and his heirs and assigns one certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the said County of Nash and bounded as follows. Beginning at a stake in the wild cut Branch, Wells corner in the line of Lot No. 3 in the division of Josiah Vick’s line thence down said Branch a line of marked trees South 27° East 82 Poles to a pine South 26° East 158 Poles to a Cyprus on the banks of Tar River Wells corner of Lot No. 3 thence up the various causes of said river to Dalton Cotton’s corner in the line of Lot No. 3 thence Doctor Cottons line to a stake thence a line East to a stake in Wells line the beginning containing by estimation two hundred and nine acres be the same more or less. To have and to hold the aforesaid lands and tenements there unto belonging to him the said Richard L. Green, his heirs and assigns in fee simple forever and we the said David A. Scott and wife Sarah Ann and for ourselves our heirs and assigns warrant and defend the rights and title of the said lands premises to him the said Richard L. Green his heirs and assigns forever.
