Elmore, William, Private
Company C, 27th Regiment NC Troops
Resided in [Nash County] and enlisted at Camp Holmes at age 18, July 27, 1864, 
for the war. Present or accounted for until captured at Hatcher's Run, 
Virginia, March 31, 1865. Confined at Point Lookout, Maryland, until released 
on June 12, 1865, after taking the Oath of Allegiance.
