The Standard of Raleigh, Nov. 26, 1862
   DIED, near Springhope, Nash County, N. C., on Sunday morning, November 9th, 
1862, of typhoid fever, HIRAM BOWDEN, ESQ., at a ripe old age. He was a 
consistent member of the Primitive Baptist Church. He leaves an aged wife, two 
sons and a daughter and a large circle of friends to mourn his loss.
