MARTHA SUE DUNN SEBRELL BRIGGS

   Mrs. Martha Sue Briggs died Monday, November 7, at the home of her daughter, 
Mrs. S.V. Camp, in Sebrell in her 80th year. She was born in Nash County, N.C. , 
in 1853, the daughter of Benjamin F. and Mrs. Martha Bell Dunn. Her first 
husband was B.W. Sebrell of this county and of this union two children survive, 
Mrs. S.V. Camp of Sebrell and B.W. Sebrell of Lawrenceville, the late Mrs. E.W. 
Davis of Sebrell was also their daughter. In 1880 she married W.S. Briggs who 
died three years ago.

   She was for several years a member of Trinity M.E. Church and was known as a 
faithful wife and mother and an exemplary Christian character.

   The funeral was held in Sebrell Wednesday afternoon with burial in the family 
plot at her old home. Rev. H.F. Turner conducted the funeral and was assisted by 
Rev. R.H. Marks of Capron. The body bearers were: B.W. Sebrell, Jr., S.V. Camp, 
Jr., B.W. Davis, W.B. Simmons, Jr. , W.T. Pace, T.B. Bell, R.T. Short and B.F. 
Walton.
