In the death of this venable and pious lady, her husband has lost the only stay of his declining life but he hath consolation in the hope that she is gone to receive the inheritance of a better world. She had been more than 40 years a member of the Baptist Church and ever sustained a character worthy of her profession. To the poor, she was a friend in the time of need and was universally beloved and esteemed by her neighbors. During her illness she manifested the utmost patience and resignation and seemed to welcome the hour of death. "Gray hairs is a crown of glory when found in the ways of righteousness" but "death is the crown of life" to the true Christian.
