A native of Alabama, Mrs. Coggin has resided locally for three years. She was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church, Nashville, NC. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Mary Louise Hux of Hampton, Mrs. Helen C. Griffin of Newport News, and Mrs. D. L. Vass of Richmond; three sons, Bobbie L. Coggin of Hampton, and W. J. Coggin and G. C. Coggin, both of Nashville, NC; sister Mrs. Bernice Hayes of Rocky Mount, NC; three brothers, Franklin Morton of Houston, TX, Floyd Morton of Philadelphia and John Morton, Jr. of Rocky Mount, NC; and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Johnson Funeral Home, in Rocky Mount, NC with Rev. C. B. Peacock, pastor of Missionary Baptist Church, Nashville, NC officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, NC. The family will be at 2722 Rosalee Drive, Hampton.
