Adron L. "Poppie" Rich passed away April 27, 2007.

He was born to Needham and Lillie Rich in Castalia, NC, June 1, 1920.  He 
retired from Chase Bag Company after 32 years of faithful service.

Poppie loved bluegraa and "bluegrass people."  He was a member of the 
Bluegrass Association and attended Central Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Viola, and his daughter, Ida "Boots" 
Benthall.

He leaves to mourn his passing, a son, Adron "Ham" Rich, Jr., and his wife, 
Sondra; three daughts, Doris Rich, Lillie "Frankie" Shye and her husband, 
Howard, and Judy Frye and her husband, William; two sisters, Christine Rich 
and Mary Cousins; also many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank their dedicated friend and neighbor, Shirley 
Fishel, and the aides and nurses at Hope and Home Care.

Funeral services will be held graveside at 11 a.m., Monday, April 30, in 
Parklawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Thornton Hall officiating.  The family 
will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday, April 29, at Parklawn-Wood 
Funeral Home.
