Mrs. Carrie Weston
Newport News - Mrs. Carrie Batchelor Weston, 93, of 3 Shirley Road, died today 
in Riverside Hospital.

She waw a native of Nash County, NC, and had been a Peninsula resident for the 
past 48 years.  She was a member of First Friends Church and a former member 
of the ministry and oversight of the church.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Carrie Weston Richards, with whom she 
made her home, and Mrs. Elizabeth Weston Armstrong of Hampton; two sons, James 
Columbus West, Jr., of Hampton and Edward B. Weston of Carthage, MO; one 
sister, Mrs. Thomas Matthews of Raleigh, NC; one brother, Jarvis Batchelor of 
Bethel, NC; 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

A graveside service wll be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Greenlawn Cemetery 
by6 Rev. C. R. Creed of First Friends Church, Newport News.

The family will be at the residence.

Peninsula Funeral Home is in charge.
