May Court 1811 In the Name of god amen I John Joiner of the county of Nash and state of North Carolina Being weak in body but of perfect sound mind sense memory and understanding Do make this my last will and Testament in form and Manner (to wit) I give my soul to almighty god that gave it and my Body to be Buried at the discrition of my Executors hereafter mentioned Item my desire is that all my just debts and funeral charges be first paid and then my worldly goods to be divided in manner following Item). I give and bequeath to my Dear and well beloved wife Elizabeth Joiner five b..?.. corn two feather beds & furniture one bay mare named phillis one cow and yearling one sow and two pigs one small pot & hooks one dutch over & hook one frying pan three case knives & forks one pewter Dish two pewter basons five earthan plates one chest one punch bowl one cream pot one narrow ax one broad hoe one skillet one gridiron six table spoons one soope spoon one woolling wheel & pair of cotton cards one water pail one washing tub three chears one table dureing her life or widowwood and after her Death or marriage to be equally divided between my five children namely Jesse Joiner John Joiner Curtis Joiner Elizabeth Langley & Elizabeth Jackson Item). I give and bequeath to my two sons Jesse Joiner & Curtis Joiner all my working tools that belong to my shop to be equally Divided between them and all the remaining part of my estate to be sold to pay my just debts and if their is any remainded over paying my debts that to be Equally Divided between my five children Jesse Joiner John Joiner Curtis Joiner Elizabeth Langley and Elizabeth Jackson and I constitute and appoint my sons Jesse Joiner & Curtis Joiner Executors to this my last will and Testament in witness Whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal this twenty seventh Day of March one thousand Eight hundred and ten John (x) Joiner his mark Signed and sealed in presents of William Langley (x) and Elizabeth (x) Langley her mark.
