In the Name of god amen I William Joiner Snr. of Nash County & State of North 
carolina Being in perfect mind & sound memory. But, calling To mind the more 
lately of my Body do make & ordain this my Last will & testament; in manner & 
form following. To wit & I want all my Just debts paide

I Tem I give & Bequeathed To my deare Bealoved wife patience Joiner I give 
unto her the Land & plantation where on I now Live, Being Two hundrfed & fifty 
nine acres. Two feather Beads & furniture one wooling wheal & one pare cards & 
one flax wheal; one chest & all the puter & earthen ware that is mine & the 
bofat is not To go out of the house & all the kitchen furniture one Loam & 
gear the first choice of horses & three cows & calos one side saddle & one sow 
& eight shotes: three head of sheepe one carte & wheals & per vision for one 
year; Supporte:

I Tem I give & Bequeath To my grand Son William Thomas Griffin Sixty acers of 
Land up joining William Griffin To Be Lawde of North & Sout & if he shood Die 
off Before he arioes To twenty one years of ages it goes Back To his mother 
margaret Griffin & is To Be Layde of By Exetor or Adm. By marked Trees To him 
& his heirs forever

I Tem I give & Beaqueath To my Daughter milby Joiner one feather Bead & 
furniture one cow & calf. Two head of Sheepe fifty acers of Land Joining the 
Tarack Named To Be Layde of as the other To her & hers heirs for Ever

I Tem I give unto my daughter mornen Joiner one feather Bead & furniture one 
cow & calf. Two head of Sheepe & fifty acers of Land. Joining the Next peace. 
So as To take the all houses To her & heirs forever

I Tem & after the death of my wife patience Joiner the Balance of my Land is 
To BE Sold & all the property that I give To my wife is To be Sold at her 
Death & equeal Divided Between my Seven Daughters named Barshaba Barnes & 
Selah Evans & Charitity Davis & Unity Vick & mornan Joiner & milbry Joiner & 
Margaret Griffin So named in the will

I Tem I do further more Nominate & apoint Amos Joiner my Exetor To this my 
Last will & Testament in witness whare of I have her unto Set my hand and 
Seals this the 22th of August 1835.
