Morgan of Nash , son of, Hardy Morgan of Nash, son of James b:1707, and Elizabeth Morgan. of Edgecombe Co. NC. After studing Hardy's will and William B. Morgan's will and the will of William J.B. Batchelor, sister Quilly nices to Quilla Lamon Bachlor she has named her son Hardy Batchelor. Aquillia is the sister of Wm Morgan. Also the name Alsford apears on Hardys will and William B. Morgan’s. The Batchelor's will's are posted on line at www.bjhughes.org/batcwill.html William B Morgan, Nov. 7, 1851. "For the love and affection and good will which I have for Polly Earp.....who has lived in my service for seven or eight years... she has done a dutiful part of hireling and waited on my sister and my mother on the bed of affliction... I give and grant for good attendance my colt, ect., bed, and so long as she lives I want her to have twenty gallons of Brandy per year and a home her lifetime under good quility, not to make distruction nor havoc of the plantation" Part of this will is illegiable, but it appears after the death of Polly Earp a nephew of William B. Morgan named William Alston (or Alford) is to have $125, and the heirs of Henry Morgan are to have $10 each and E H Morgan is to have a legacy - all this sale of the divisor. Ex: John B. Rice. Wit: William Earp, William D. Strickland. (Evan H. mother is Jammia Strickland he has to be a g-son of Hardy’s) (William B. states, Henry is his uncle in Rutha Rev War pension records regarding the bible records of John Sr., John Sr is not his father, as his William died 1798, Henry is his uncle that leaves Hardy as William B. father as named in Hardy’s will)! The records show that a suit was brought by John Morgan and Lamon Witley, objecting through their attorney, William T. Dorch, to the probate the will of William B. Morgan. However, following proper investigation, ect., the will was admited to probate. No dat. John B. Rice refused to serve as executor and E. H. Morgan was named admisinstrator. (Henry is brother to William B. and Evan H Morgan is most likely a g-son of Hardy or Henry) File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/nc/nash/wills/morgan1548gwl.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/ncfiles/ File size: 2.7 Kb
