John and Rutha are buried at Samaria Cemetary Hope Springs . Proved August, 1837 Recorded November, 1840 Nash Co., NC In the name of God Amen I John Morgan of the county of Nash in State of North Carolina now being of perfect since and memory do constitute and appoint this writing my last will and testament in manner and form following viz Item. I lend unto my beloved wife Rutha all the land that I am possesed with dureing her life and also two negroes one woman named Rachal & one man named Bunn also one fether bed and furniture also three hed of horses and five cows and calvs after her decese the land and negro man shall be the property of my daughter Nansy also my desire is that the negro woman before lent to myt wife at her desese shall be the property of my sun James the B:allance she is to dispose of in enny way she may think propper Item. I give and bequeth unto my sun John Morgan one negro named Daniel to him and his heirs for Ever Item. I give and bequeth unto my sun James Morgan one negro named Bess to him and his heirs for Ever Item. I give and bequeth unto my daughter Nancy Morgan one negro named Clary to her and her heirs for Ever Item. I give and bequeth untomy daughter Sela wife of Hutchens Ferrell one negro named Caroline to her and her heirs for Ever Item. I give anbd bequeth unto my daughter Ana wife of Benet Smith one negro named Tim to her and her heirs for Ever Item I give and bequeth unto my daughter Susana wife of Irvin Finch one negro named Peg also one good cowe abnd calf also one heifer onbe year old or the advance to her and her heirs for Ever But still my desire is that this lahnd and negroes that I have before lent my wife Rutha that my sun James and daughter Nancy do not interfear nor consern with dureing her natural life I further desire that after my death the Ballance of my property not included in this writeing be sold and my lawful debts be paid and the Ballance be Equally devided amongst my four daughters and two suns. I do constitute and appoint Irvin Finch and my sun James Morgan Executors to this my last will and testament. Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this fourth day of April one thousand eight hundred and thirty six In the presence of his H. While A Whitfield was blind and not by him recorded it is ordered by the Court that the same be recorded by the present Clerk Attest W H Blount CCC And is recorded in obedience to the above order Attest W H Blount CCC An estate inventory was filed by Irvin Finch, executor, in November, 1837. It mentioned preperty lent in will to wife, Rutha Morgan, and bequeathed by will to John Morgan, Nancy Moirgan, James Morgan, Sela Ferrell, Anna Smith, and Susana Finch.
