SOLOMON WELLS

In the name of God amen.  I Solomon Wells
of Nash County in the State of North Carolina
being of a sound & perfect mind & memory do
make & ordain this as my last will and
Testament in manner and form following (to wit)
Item I Give and bequeath [Bequeath] to my Sister Priscillia
Pope two Featherbeds and Furniture ten head
Sheep or all that I die possessed with one
wollen wheel one flax wheel & one haskle to be
held and Enjoyed by her her heirs and asignes  forever
Item I give and bequeath to John Wells Son of Stephen
Wells one Sorrel mare named? Bordrey with
her increase & one negroe woman named
Nell to be held and Enjoyed by him his heirs 
& assigns forever.
Item  I give and bequeath to my Cousin Lewis
Jackson my grey Roan Called Dolphin my
Bridle and Saddle one Rifle gun and all
my wearing cloaths to be held and enjoyed
by him his heirs and assigns forever.
Item I give and bequeath to my Cousin John Wells
son of Redmon Wells three hundred and fifty
acres of land with the plantation where I now
live together with all the Improvements there on
one still and worm and all my Cyder cash
except six new bearrels with brandy in them
to be held and Enjoyed by him his heirs and
assigns forever but if the said John Wells dies without
without Issue my will and desire is that the
said three hundred and fifty acres of land and
plantation the said Still & worm the said 
Cyder Cask Revert to his brother Stephen Wells
to be held and enjoyed by him his heirs and
assigns forever and if the said Stephen Wells dies
without Issue my will and desire is that the
said land and plantation still and worm and
Cyder cask be equally divided between the 
surviving children of the said Redmon Wells to
be held and Enjoyed by them their heirs and assignes
forever
Item I give and bequeath to my cousin Stephen Wells
son of Redmon Wells all my money & notes
Accompt & demands that shall remain after
XpayingX my debt is paid Also all the rest of my Stock
both of Cattle and hogs  Also all the remainder
of my estate of every kind whatsoever to be
held and enjoyed by him his heirs and assigns 
forever  Item I do Constitue and appoint my
well beloved friend Wilson Vicks my whole and 
sole executor of this my last will and Testament
satisfying and confirming this and no other 
to be my last will and Testament in witness
where of I have hereunto set my hand and seal
this 8th day of May one thousand Seven hundred
& eighty nine.
