This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Vicki Ellen Sellers vsellers@msn.com ==================================================================== Wills of Nash Co., NC Original-State Archives, Raleigh In the name of god amen I William Westery of the County of Nash and State of North Carolina being of infirm helth but of sound mind and memory doe make and ordain this my last will and testament In maner and form as Following (Vise) My body shall be decentley buried without unnecessary expences and that my furnel Charges and Just debts shall be paid By my Exector hereinafter named and As to the residue of my estate and property with wich god has blessed me and which shall not be required for the Payment of my debts furnel charges And the expences in and about the Execution of this my will and the Administration of my estate I give Devise and dispose thereof as follows To wit Item the furst I give and bequeth to my Daughter Charlott Batchlor one negro woman named Pricillia and all of her Increase to her and her ears for ever Item 2 I give to my grand daughter Nancy I. Westory Ten Dollars to her And her ears for ever Item 3 I give & bequeth to my frind Bennett Barnes as trustee for my sun Bennett Westory survor of his his heares Exectors & the following property to wit what land he can cultivat so long as he lives one horse one fether bed and furniture and one Hundred Dollars for the support and metaianc [maintenance] of my son Bennett Westory and one third of my crop Except my Branday for the support and metainanc of my son Bennett Westory so long as he lives Item 4 I give and bequeth to my son in Law Samuel Mc Batchlor as trustee and survior of him his hears exetors And the following property to wit All of my Land I am in posession of allso two parts of crop ten head of sheepe and ten hed of cattle and Twenty hed of hogs and two head of Horses allso two negros Sesor and Lewis allso my Branday still cider cast and apple mill one fether Bed and furniture one cart and wheels and all of my farming tools in trus never the lest to hier or rent out For the proceeds to goe to the support And maintaince of daughter Margart Maning and her children for ever And I authorise my trustee as forsaid he shall deem it prudent to permit My daughter Margret to employ the Property for the use and purpose Above specifyd provid however that no part of said property be sold but oly [only] the proceds of the same be used for the support of my Daughter Margret and her childern and at the deth of my Daughter Margret it is my express will and Desier that the said property be Equerly divided among her children To them for ever Item 5 I give and bequeth to my daughter Temporance Westory one negro woman named Lettes one fether Bed and furniture and Two Hundred Dollars so long as she shold Live and at the deth of my daughter Temporance Westory my will is that the property that I lond [loaned] to my Daughter Temporance be equerly devided Among my three daughters Charlott Batchlor and Margret Maning and Elizabeth Batchlor to them and ther Ears for ever and I appint my son in law Samuel Mc Batchlor Sargent for my daughter Temporance Westory Item 6 I give and bequeth to my daughter Elizabeth Batchlor two negro girls Named Mary and Nancy one feather Bed and furniture to her and her Ears for ever Item 7 I give and bequeth to my son Willias Westory one negro girl named Sary wich He has Recd to him his ears for ever Item 8 I give and bequeth to my grand daughter Mary Maning one negro girl named Fatha to her and her ears for ever Item 9 I give and bequeth to my grand daughter Martha Maning one negro Girl named Ann to her and her ears for ever Item 10 I give and bequeth to my grand Daughter Elizabeth Maning one negro girl named Emly to her and to her ears for ever Item 11 I give and bequeth to my son William Westory two children Elizabeth and William S. Westory one negro boy named Dicke to them and ther ears for ever My will is that the higher of said negro shal be for the support and mentainanc and Education of William Westory two childern Elizabeth and William S.
