Entered railway service Dec. 1873, since which he has been consecutively Dec. 
1873 to Aug. 1877, telegraph operator International & Great Northern Rd;
Aug. 1877 to Sept. 1878, correspondent general superintendent's office;
Sept. 1878 to Dec. 1881, clerk auditor's office (one-half of this time on 
passenger and the other half on freight statistics);
Jan. 1882 to June 1888, chief clerk general passenger office;
June 1888 to June 1897, assistant general passenger agent;
June 1897 to date, general passenger and ticket agent;
entire service with International & Great Northern Rd.
