New Hanover County, NC – Act to Alter Election Location, 1827 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ An Act to alter the place of holding the separate election in that part of the county of New-Hanover called Canetuc Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of North Carolina, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, That the separate elections which have heretofore been held at the house of James Lewis in that part of the county of New Hanover called Canetuc, shall hereafter be held at the place usually called Canetuc muster ground in said county; any law, usage or custom to the contrary notwithstanding.
