Carolina This Indenture made his 19th Day September the year of Our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety between Lewis HINES of New Hanover County and State aforesaid of the one part and William HANSLEY of the same State and County of Onslow of the other part. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum Three hundred fifty pounds good and lawful Money of the State to me Lewis HINES in hand paid by William HANSLEY before unsealing of the presents. The Receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge myself fully satisfied and paid every part and parcel thereof therefore hath granted bargained and sold assigned aliened released enfeoff convey and confirm him the said William HANSLEY his heirs and assigns forever a certain plantation on the — containing Three hundred and sixteen Acres situate lying and being in the County of New Hanover and state aforesaid Beginning at a Sassafras Stake in Charles MOORE’S? line now Thos. BISHOPS thence N 50 West 127 poles to a Gum in the patent line thence S — 92 poles in a Water Pond in the patent line thence S 50 east 127 poles to a stake in ——— or open pond near White BARWICK’S house an din sd. BARRACKS line thence N 416? poles to the first Station containing Seventy four Acres which land came to me —— by purchase from Michael LOBAR? and to him sd. Mich’l by Heirship at the Death of his Father? Peter LOBAR also one other Message tract or parcel of Land beginning at a Hickory from the beginning on the Patent thence South 49 east 52 Poles to sd. Stake —— poles to a stake in the lower line of the patient thence N 41 East 126 poles to a Stake — a pond the pattent Corner thence N 49 West 52 poles to a Red Oak Swan’s? Grant S 41 West 126 poles to the beginning being 42 Acres taken out of a large Tract patented by Lewis HINES bearing Date December 5th, 1794 also one other Mesouage Tract or parcel of Land adjoining the aforementioned Tract beginning at a Hickory thence running N 41 East 126 poles the second course of the patent to a Red Oak, Samuel SWAN’S course N 49 West 242 poles to a pine thence S 49 East 242 poles to the beginning which land I, Lewis HINES purchased of Michael LOBAR which Land came to him the s. Michael by Claimship at the Death of his Father, Peter LOBAR as Reference from Record prove fully appear containing Two hundred Acres. To Have and to Hold the said Lands premises together with all the Woods ways waters and water courses all the profits benefits Privileges and appurtenances unto the same belonging or appertaining to him the said William HANSLEY his heirs & assigns forever unto his or their proper use & behoof forever free and clear of all manner Encumbrances whatsoever and I the said Lewis HINES of the presents for myself and my heirs covenant promise and agree that at the sealing. Request and at the cost and charges of him he said Lewis HINES, his heirs or assigns he the said William HANSLEY his heirs or Assigns will at anytime hereafter make Execute and acknowledge any other Deed or Deeds conveyance or conveyances which may be needful or necessary to move Amply and fully secure the possession of the bargained Premises and every part thereof with all the appurtenances unto him he sd. William HANSLEY his heirs or Assigns forever. And And — I the said Lewis HINES for myself my heirs Exsr. Admrs. and Assigns and every of them shall and will warrant and forever Defend the above mentioned Tract of Three Hundred and Sixteen Acres of Land and premises and every part thereof unto the said William HANSLEY his heirs and Assigns forever against the claim or claims of any manner of Person or Persons whatsoever.
