Between John HINES of New Hanover County & State of North Carolina, Planter of the one part and Frederick JONES of the County and State aforesaid, Planter of the other part. Witnesseth that the said John HINES for & in Consideration of the Sum of Fifty Pounds Current money of the said State to him in hand paid by the said Frederick JONES. The receipt whereof The said John HINES doth hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold aliened & confirmed and by these presents doth Grant bargain sell alien convey & confirm unto the said Frederick JONES his heirs assigns Forever all that tract as paid of land situate lying and being on the North west side of New Topsail Sound Back of Fredk JONES, Formerly Samuel SWANS land which said tract or parcel of land by a Patent bearing date the fourth day of May 1769 was granted to Samuel COLLIER containing as by Plat annexed to said Patent doth appear one hundred & fifty acres better?— more or less. Beginning at a White Oak by a Red Oak stump, Michael SASSERS, Mark MCSAMMY? & Frederick JONES’S Corner (Formerly Samuel SWANNS) thence running along Frederick JONES’S Back line, North Forty acre degrees East, Three Hundred poles to a Hickory on Stafford’s line Thence North Sixty Eight degreed West Seventy one poles to a lightwood last in the Center of three pine painters said Calliers Old Corner thence along his old line west one Hundred & five poles to a stake thence South seven degrees West Two Hundred- Sixty seven poles to the first station and also all profits advantages ways waters Houses appurtenances. To the said Tract or parcel of land belonging or in any wise appertaining my and all the Estates right title interest claim & demand whatsoever of him the aid John HINES of in & to the said tract pr parcel of land with the appurtenances and every part thereof To have & to Hold the said tract or parcel of Land and all & singular the premises above mentioned and every part & parcel thereof with the appurtenances unto the said Fredk JONES his heirs & assigns to their only proper use and behoof of him the said Fredk. JONES his heirs & assigns forever and the said John HINES for him & his heirs the said tract or parcel of Land with the appurtenances & every part thereof against him & his heirs & against all and Every other person Whatsoever the said Frederick JONES his heirs & assigns shall & will warrant & forever defend by These presents.
