Know all men by these presents that I, Amos ROCHELL of the County aforesaid 
for & in consideration of the Sum of Eight Hundred Dollars to me in hand 
paid by Henry W. WILLEY of the county of Onslow the receipt whereof is 
hereby acknowledged have bargained sold confirmed & by these presents do 
bargain sell convey & confirm unto the sd. Henry W. WILLEY a certain piece 
or parcel of land situate in said on the East side of the N. E. River 
including the hole of the Bear Garden beginning at a pine on the N edge of 
the sd. Creek or Mill pond and runs then N 110 poles to a pine then S 64 E 
172 poles to a stake then N —14 E 14 poles to a dead pine then S 53 E 550 
poles to a stake in a Large bay then S 15 W 120 poles to a Stake on the 
South side of Ashes Creek then down the South side of sd. Creek & Mill pond 
at high water mark to where the bublisk? road crosses the sd. Creek or Mill 
pond thence to the beginning containing  six hundred & eighteen acres be the 
same more or less which tract or parcel of land with all the improvements 
privileges & appurtenances there unto belonging or in any wise appertaining 
I do hereby warrant & defend against all persons claims or demands 
whatsoever unto the sd. H. WILLEY his heirs & assigns forever in Testimony 
whereof f I have hereunto set my hand & seal, 17th Jany. 1831 in presence
