Mary ROCHELL to daughters Mary & Sarah ROCHELL of New Hanover Co., NC
13 June 1822

To all people to whom these presents shall come. I, Mary ROCHELL of the 
State of North Carolina and County of New Hanover Send Greeting. Know ye 
that I the said Mary ROCHELL for and in consideration of the natural love 
and affection which I have and bear unto my two daughters Mary ROCHELL and 
Sarah ROCHELL of said County and for doing other good causes and 
considerations me hereunto moving have given and granted and by these 
presents do give and grant unto the said Mary ROCHELL and Sarah ROCHELL all 
and singular my goods and chattels following viz: all my stock of Cattle 
hogs and and two beds and furniture and all my house hold furniture, and all 
and singular my other property of any kind (after paying my just debts out 
of the said property) To have hold and enjoy — and Singular the said goods 
chattels and —— estate aforesaid unto the said Mary ROCHELL and Sarah 
ROCHELL and to be equally divided between the two their (heirs-crossed out) 
executors administrators and assigns to the only proper use and behoof of 
them the said Mary ROCHELL and Sarah ROCHELL their executor administrators 
and assigns forever and I the said Mary ROCHELL all and Singular the 
aforesaid goods Chattels and promises to the said Mary ROCHELL and Sarah 
ROCHELL their executors administrators and assigns against all persons 
Whatsoever shall and will Warrant and forever defend by these presents. In 
Witness Whereof I the sd. Mary ROCHELL have hereunto set My hand and Seal 
this thirteenth day of June in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand and eight 
hundred and twenty two.
