Mary ROCHELL to Mary & Sarah ROCHELL
Bk. S, p. 472

This Indenture made the 10th day of March in the year of our Lord one 
thousand eight hundred and twenty six between Mary ROCHELL of the State of 
North Carolina and count of New Hanover of the one par and my two daughters 
Mary ROCHELL and Sarah ROCHELL of the other part. Witnesseth that the sd. 
Mary ROCHELL for and in consideration of the sum of fifty dollars to her in 
had paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath given granted 
bargained sold set over and forever confirmed unto the said Mary ROCHELL and 
Sarah ROCHELL their heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land 
lying and being in the County of New Hanover on both sides of Holly Shelter 
Creek whereon the said Mary ROCHELL now lives containing two hundred acres 
to be equally divided between the said Mary ROCHELL and Sarah ROCHELL and 
for them their heirs or assigns to have ant to hold the above described land 
and premises with all and singular the rights members and appertenances 
thereunto belonging or anywise appertaining and I the said Mary ROCHELL do 
hereby warrant and forever defend the said land and promises to the said 
Mary ROCHELL and Sarah ROCHELL their heirs and assigns free and clear from 
the claim of me my  heirs executors administrators or assigns and from and 
against the lawful or just claim ordains of any person or persons 
whatsoever.
In witness whereof I the said Mary ROCHELL have hereunto set my hand and 
seal day and date first written.
