New Hanover County

Know ye all men by these presents that I, Amos ROCHELLE, Jr. of the County 
aforesaid for and in consideration of one hundred & seven dollars to me in 
hand paid by Snowden PEARCE of said County by the receipt whereof is hereby 
acknowledged bargained sold & confirmed and by these presents do bargain 
sell convey and confirm unto the sd. Snowden PEARCE two certain tracts or 
parcels of land situated in said county Beginning on the N side of Corn Head 
Branch at the Black Jack Oak thence N One hundred & sixty poles to a stake 
kind? hill in the center of three marked pines thence E one hundred & fifty 
poles to a pine crossing Corn head branch. thence South one hundred and 
sixty poles to a stake thence West one hundred & fifty poles to the first 
stake on containing one hundred & fifty acres be it the same more or less, 
the second piece beginning at a stake near the corner of the first piece in 
the West side of Buck Horn Branch thence running with said line S one 
hundred and fifty poles to a stake thence E fifty poles to Buck Horn Branch 
thence about north up the various course of sd run to the first station 
containing sixty three acres be it the same more or less which tract or 
parcels of land with all the improvements, privileges, and appurtenances, 
thereunto belonging, I do hereby warrant against all persons or claims or 
demands, whatsoever (public taxes hereafter excepted) unto the sd. Snowden 
PEARCE) his heirs and assigns forever.
In Testimony where of I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the 5th day 
of December 1834.
