Isaac ROCHELLE to Atherton HENDERSON of New Hanover Co., NC

New Hanover County
Know all men by these presents, that I, Isaac ROCHELLE of the State & County 
aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of One hundred dollars to me in 
hand paid by Etherton HENDERSON of the State and County aforesaid, the receipt 
whereof is hereby acknowledged, have bargained, sold an confirmed and by these 
presents do bargain sell convey send confirm unto the said Etherton HENDERSON 
all my rights title and interest in a certain tract or parcel of land, formerly 
owned by John DEEL, deceased, lying and being in the County of New Hanover, 
Situated on the East side of Angola Pocosin adjoining the County line of Duplin, 
beginning at a gum, William JOHNSON’S corner, running thence with said JOHNSON’S 
line, N 29 E 135 poles to a pine his corner on the county line, thence with said 
lin S 86 W 240 poles to a water oak on the Great Branch thence S 4 E 155 poles 
to a stake, thence to the Beginning, containing two hundred acres, be it the 
same more or less, which tract or parcel of land with all the improvements 
privileges and appertainances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining, I 
do Warrant and defend against all persons claims or demands whatsoever unto him 
the said Etherton HENDERSON his heirs and assigns forever.
In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the Eleventh day 
of February 1854.
