Deed of Edward TEAL to John ROCHELL, both of New Hanover Co., N.C.-24 Dec. 1767

To all to whom these presents shall come I, Edward TEEL of ye County of
Newhanover, Planter & Province aforesaid send Greeting, Know ye that I, ye
s'd. Edward TEEL for & in consideration of ye sum of twenty-five pounds
Prect. Money to me in hand paid before ye ensealing & delivery of the
present by Jn. ROCHELL of ye. County aforesaid, Carpenter ye rec'd thereof,
I do hereby acknowledge & thereof & of every part, parcel thereof do clearly
acquit exonerate & discharge ye s'd. Jn. ROCHELL his heirs, Exor's
administrators, Assigns & every of them by these presents have given granted
bargained, sold aliened en--- Conveyed confirmed assigned & set over & by 
these presents do fully freely clearly & absolutely give grant bargain sell 
alien  ---- convey confirm assign & set over unto ye s'd. Jn. ROCHELL his heirs 
& assigns forever a certain plantation tract or parcel of land containing sixty 
acres by estimation lying situate & being in ye County of Newhanover in our 
Province of North Carolina on the Main Branch of Holly Shelter near Mr. VEALS 
land beginning at a White Oak on ye North side of sd. Branch thence running N
50 E 25 chains to a pine S 40 E 25 chains to a white Cross ye Creek 25
chains to a Cypress Oak by a little branch S 50 W in a Branch N 40 W 25
chains to ye first Station which sd. Land as by estimation is sixty acres be
ye same more or less together with all houses buildings orchards gardens
woods waters pastures & pines together with all profits commodities &
hereditaments whatsoever to ye same belonging or appertaining To have & to
hold ye sd. Plantation & land as ye same is bounded together with all &
singular the premises herein before granted bargained & sold or mentioned or
intended to be hereby granted bargained or sold unto ye sd. Jn. ROCHELL his
heirs & assigns to ye sole use benefits & behoofs of him ye sd. Jn. ROCHELL
his heirs & assigns forever & I, ye sd. Edward TEAL for myself my heirs &
Assigns by these presents Y aforesaid land & Premises discharged of & from
all incumbrances whatsoever his Majesties Quit rents that shall hereafter
become due only excepted unto him ye sd. Jn. ROCHELLE his heirs & assigns
against all & every person or persons whatsoever shall & will warrant &
forever defend ----- to ye strength of my Patent by these presents In Witness 
whereof ye said Edward TEAL have hereunto set my hand & seal this 21st day of 
December 1767.
