Cape Fear Mercury (Wilmington); Oct. 30, 1769 October 30, 1769
   TAKEN UP AND COMMITTED TO JAIL-- four likely Negro men; one appears to be 
above 40 years of age, his Head and Beard, being Grey; the other three are 
younger, but neither of them speaks or understands English. They have each a 
Strip'd Dutch Blanket and seem to have been lately imported. The Owner may 
have them by applying to the Jail-Keeper at New River,on paying Fees and 
Charges.
