Cape Fear Mercury (Wilmington) December 8, 1769
        LEWIS BARGE, HATTER IN CROSS-CREEK purposes to carry on the Hatter's 
Business with Great Care and Application and hlpes to give Gentlemen who favor 
him with their Custom in that Way, general Satisfaction. He also intends to 
give higher Prices for Wool and Skins of all Kinds suitable for his Business 
than have been given hitherto in this place.
