HOWELL Suffolk, July 15 – Funeral services for Claude Flynn Howell, former resident of Suffolk, and for the past 25 years a resident of Wilmington, N.C., who died suddenly Sunday night after a heart attack, will be conducted at the Suffolk Presbyterian Church Tuesday afternoon at 4:30 o’clock, by the Rev. Carl B. Craig, pastor. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Mr. Howell, who was a native of Southampton County, is survived by his widow, who was before her marriage Miss Jessie Campbell Nurney, of Suffolk, and one son, Claude F. Howell, Jr., both of Wilmington, and a brother, Ralph Howell, of Asheville, N.C. He was engaged in the wholesale building supplies business in Wilmington, and for a number of years had engaged in the lumber business. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, of Wilmington, and had a wide circle of friends in that city and in Suffolk. The body will be brought by motor to Suffolk, leaving Wilmington Tuesday at 10 a.m. A brief service will be conducted at the home in Wilmington by the Rev. Dr. Gilmour, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church.
