At the home of her relations, in Wilmington, N.C., a few days since, Mrs. Wilder, wife of our townsman, Jesse Wilder, Esq. The bereaved husband has the sympathy of our entire community in his sad affliction. Additional Comments: Fannie D. Ellis was the daughter of Gardner Ellis and Fanny Morse, of Wilmington, NC. Her mother had died in November of 1880. Both Fanny Ellis and her daughter Fannie D. Wilder are buried in the Mt. Lebanon Chapel Cemetery (on the grounds of Airlie Gardens) in Wilmington, NC. Her husband, Jesse, would return to Wilmington a few years after her death and about the time of his father's, Abraham Wilder, death in 1884. Jesse and Abraham Wilder are buried in Bellevue Cemetery in Wilmington. Jesse Wilder had been elected a town alderman for Brunswick, GA in January of 1882. Both he and his wife had been on various committees for the "6th Annual Agricultural Fair of Glynn County", GA which had taken place about a month prior to her death.
