I Thomas Jennings of New Hanover in Cape Fear in the Province aforesaid being sick and weak but of perfect mind and memory do make this my last will and testament as follows making null and void all others by me formerly made. First. I resign my sole to God that gave it me hoping at the General Resurection on the last day to find mercy and I desire my body to be decently buried. 2dly. I give and bequeath to my dearly beloved wife Ellinor Jennings all my household goods and chattels that I am now possessed with. 3dly. I give to my son Thomas Jennings my Plantation lying and being on the Sound but if my said son should die before he comes of age or the day of marriage then the said Plantation I order to be equally divided between the rest of my children. Lastly. My will and desire is that my wife Ellinor Jennings and my well beloved friend Michal Higgans and Richard Scot be executors of this my last will and testament as witness my hand this twenty third day of Deceember Anno Dom 1744.
