Imprimis I give and bequeath to my son Stephen Parker Newman my house and lot in the Town of Brunswick with all the buildings and appurtenances thereunto belonging to his own proper use and behoof for ever. Item It is my will and desire that my whole estate afterwards both real and personal shall be sold to the best advantage and equally divided between my son Stephen Parker and daughter Ann Newman share and share alike to be paid them when they come of age or marry and in case of the death of either the survivor to have and enjoy all the portion of the deceased. I hereby nominate and appoint Mr. John Fergus and Mr. Thos. Davis my true and lawful executors to this my last will revoking all former or other wills by me made confirming this only to be my true and last will. Stephen P. Newman Signed sealed and acknowledged in the present of us Will Lord John Rogers January Term 1785 The within last will and testament of the late Stephen Newman was exhibited in Court and the evidences being dead Henry Hoskins deposed that he believed the named signed Stephen Newman to be the proper hand writing of him the said Stephen Newman. Also Jno. Walker deposed that he believed the name signed Wm. Lord as evidence thereto to be the hand writing of him the said Wm. Lord. At same time Jno. Fergus qualified as executor to the said will agreeable to law. Thos.
