Byrd" ALEXANDER FUTRELL CEMETERY Northampton County Location: Traveling west from Murfreesboro, Route 158, about two miles there will be a sign on the left that says "Ashley's Grove Baptist Church Road". Turn there and the road will go right to the Church. Continue past the church for about 100 yards or so and there will be path on the left cut to reach the fields. Follow the path until it ends. Directly across the field in a part of the forest that projects out a wee bit and is raised a bit. There is the graveyard. There are three burials there; one marked, the others unmarked. The first grave is that of Alexander Futrell (died 1926) The second grave is that of Lee Hinton Vann (died 1922, a victim of dyptheria); grandson of Alexander Futrell and Margaret Futrell; son of Benjamin H.
