The Oath of Sheriff

    I do solemnly swear that I will truly and faithfully execute the 
Office of Sheriff of the County of Northampton to the best of my knowledge 
and ability agreeable to the Law and that I will not take, accept, or 
receive directly or indirectly an bribe, Gift, fee or reward whatsoever 
for returning any man serving as a juror on any jury or for making any ?.. 
(illegible) return of process to me directed during my maintenance in my 
said office.  So help me God!
