Northampton County, NC - Deed - Nathan Garner and William Fly-1794 File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives Bonnie Flythe Nathan Garner and William Fly Deed Book 10, page 219: This indenture made the this 2nd.day of March 1794 Between Nathan Garner of the county of Northampton & State of North Carolina of the one part & Wm. Fly/Decd. (sic!) of the coty & state aforesd. of the other. Witnesseth that the sd. Nathan Garner for an inconsideration of the sum of Fifty Pounds to him in hand paid by the sd. Wm. Fly the recept whereof I do acknowledge myself fully satisfied, have bargained & sold by these presence for me & my heirs forever do grant Bargain sell & deliver transfer & confirm unto the sd. Wm. Fly, his heirs and assigns one certain tract or parcel of Land lying & being in the coty aforsd on the N. side of Kirby Creek Beginning at a pine in Warrens line thence along a line of markd trees to an Ash in a Branch between the before mentioned Wm. Fly & Nathan Garner thence up the said Branch to Benja. Stricklings corner pine thence along Wm. Fly's line to the first station containing by estimation ten acres more or less to have & to hold the aforesd land with its appurtenances thereunto belonging to him the sd. Wm. Fly & his heirs forever & further the sd. Nathan Garner do agree to & with the sd. Wm Fly that the sd. Bargained premises & every part & parcel thereof is clear & free from all former gifts grant bargain sales Jointure dower mortgages uses wills entails judgements Executions & all other incumbrances Whatever & that I have to all & singular premises a good & lawfull right & title to the sd. Bargained land & every part thereof in which I transfer & oblige myself my heirs & c. to warrant & defend the sale of the above bargained land to him the sd. Wm Fly & his heirs forever from the claim of any person or persons whatever in Witness whereof I have I have hereunto set my hand & affixd.
