Witnesseth that the said Barrow by virtue of a power of attorney made to him by the said Mary Hilliard as by reference to ? said Mary appears for in in consideration of the sum of two thousand dollars ($2,000) to him in hand paid by the said Veal, the recp thereof do hereby acknowledge and himself thereiwth fully satisfied and paid hath given, granted, bargained and delivered and by those present..... the said Veal, his heirs assigns forever, that tract, piece or parcel of land lying and being on the North side of Roanoake River that was said Mary Hilliard's dividend of the land of which her father, Robert hilliard dec'd possessed containing by estimation 100 acres the same more or less as by reference to recpt....
