Northampton County, NC - News - Minton, Bryant & McDaniel Fox Hunt, 1906 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ From the "Patron and Gleaner", Andrew J. Conner, publisher, Rich Square, North Carolina, 3 January 1906 "Messrs David L. Minton, William Bryant and Augustus McDaniel Jr. came here Wednesday morning with their fox hounds and had a fine chase. They started the fox near the cattle guard at the Lambertson farm quarter of a mile from town. The fox led the hounds right up to the business portion of the town and to the Railroad station. They caught him at 1:30 P. M. after about five hours chase. It was an old one. At one time during the morning the hounds were running three foxes."
