She was the daughter of the late Rev. Joshua Fleetwood and Mrs. Louise Maddrey Fleetwood of Northampton County, N.C., and the sister of the late J. Wiley Fleetwood of Boykins and the late J.C. Fleetwood of Franklin. Surviving are three daughters, Miss Cornelia Barnes of Severn, Mrs. Glenn Lilley of Gatesville, N.C. and Mrs. Charles H. Corbitt of Franklin; three sons, Harvey C. Barnes of Norfolk, Claude K. Barnes of Drewryville, and J. Wilmer Barnes of Jackson, N.C.; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Susie Stephenson of Pendleton, N.C.; one brother, P.M. Fleetwood of Jackson, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Barnes, who lived for many years in the Branchville community, were held at the Severn Baptist Church on Tuesday afternoon at 3 o’clock. Burial was in the Severn Cemetery.
