Baugham, died at her home in Rich Square, N.C., early Monday, March 19, after a long illness. A native of Southampton County, she was the daughter of the late James L. and Mary Worrell Bishop. She had made her home in Rich Square since her marriage to Mr. Baugham in 1895. Surviving her are one daughter, Mrs. V.D. Strickland, and a son, S.G. Baugham of Rich Square; another son, Edgar Baugham of Smithfield, N.C.; one sister, Mrs. Herbert Williams of Buchanan; and six grandchildren and three niece. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 3 o’clock in the Rich Square Methodist Church by the pastor, Rev. H.F. Surratt, assisted by Rev. N.W. Grant of Bethel Methodist Church. The casket was covered with white roses and carnations on a bed of white and green lace ferns. The numerous other floral pieces, the beautiful tribute by the pastor, and the large crowd in attendance attested the high esteem in which Mrs. Baugham was held by her family and friends. Burial was in the family plot in Rich Square Cemetery.
