TOM BOLTON

   Funeral services for Tom Bolton, age 87, whose death occurred at the Wilson, 
N.C., Hospital Friday morning after an illness of several months, were conducted 
Sunday afternoon at 1 o’clock in the Baptist Church, at Rich Square by the 
pastor, Rev. Mr. Cooper. Mr. Bolton was one of Rich Square’s most prominent 
citizens. He was the only brother of J.R. Bolton of Branchville. There was a 
large attendance of relatives and friends.

   The casket was covered with a pall of white lilies and there were many 
beautiful floral tributes to show the esteem in which he was held. Pallbearers 
were the deacons of the church.

   Honorary pallbearers were the officers of Northampton County. Interment was 
made in the church cemetery.
