ANNIE LULA HARRIS BOONE

   Mrs. Lula Harris Boone, age 69 died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C.P. 
Turner, in Boykins Monday night. Mrs. Boone was born in North Carolina but had 
been a resident of Boykins for a number of years. Her husband, Burgess P. 
Boone, died in January of this year. She was a faithful member of the Boykins 
Baptist Church and of the T.E.L. Class of its Sunday school.

   Besides her daughter she is survived by three sons, W.B. Boone of Norfolk, 
Norris Boone of Pendleton, N.C., and W.J. Boone of New York.

   Funeral services were held from the residence of Mrs. Turner in Boykins 
Wednesday afternoon conducted by her Pastor, Rev. F.B. Handley. Interment was 
made in Beechwood Cemetery and the active pallbearers were: J.W. Holland, W.F. 
McKinstry, W.P. Gray, A. S. Francis, W.R. Moore, T.H. Porter, W. Hugh Powell 
and J.R. Hines.
